About Venue

Peter Kavanagh’s stands as an iconic establishment in Liverpool. Its name pays tribute to the peculiar and skilful proprietor who managed the pub admirably for an impressive 53-year span, spanning from 1897 to 1950.

In 1929, he gave the interior a fresh look, enlisting the talents of Scottish artist Eric Robinson for expansive murals, stained glass virtuoso William English for the windows, and his own innovative craftsmanship for unique woodwork and furniture pieces. A diverse array of artefacts has been amassed over time, including vintage radios, the skin of an alligator, a bicycle, and a statue portraying a waiter carrying an ever-changing array of trinkets on a tray.
